Position: Surfer Engineers

Job Location: Port Harcourt

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The responsibilities for this position shall include offshore vessel/surfer maintenance and repairs (electrical/mechanical)

Person Profile

The ideal candidate should be male between 22-45 years

* Possess the required Basic and Advanced mandatory’s
* Possess Marine Engineer Officer certificate of competency (preferably OOW unlimited) 3000kw
* Possess a valid international passport
* Possess a valid discharge book showing a minimum of 18 months seatime experience in the marine industry
* Possess a valid yellow card
* Possess a valid medical certificate
* Must be registered as a seafarer with NIMASA
* Possession of relevant additional qualification will be an added advantage

Character Profile

* High Technical skills
* Creative and innovative
* Team oriented and outgoing
* Ability to work with little or no supervision

Position: Referent Engineers

Job Location: Port Harcourt

Responsibilities

Job summary

The responsibilities for this position shall include but not be limited to:

* Train all Nigerian engineers in line with company’s approved training programs, in class onboard vessels
* Train and follow up on new engineers under training process
* Train regularly existing engineers for refreshing
* Train especially but do not limit to safety, drills, maintenance log books, procedures and documentation
* Train engineers at the base at workshop
* Assess all engineers in line with company procedures
* Visit vessels offshore to assess performance of engineers on the job identify people who need more urgently in-house training to organize sessions
* Participate in identifying people needing external training
* Inspects boats at arrival at base and assist with maintenance
* Participate in analyzing incidents and improving human performance onboard
* Inform Master training center about assessment progress (individual assessments results and progress in assessing all crews)
* Promote safe and clean environment, onboard and at the base, at all times
* Promote spirit of continuing improvement of skills and performance Acts as a team player in the training team
* Communicate with Master training centre on training strategies and lesson sharing
* Link as training team with Master training centre for recommendations on posting.

The Person Profile

The ideal candidate should be male between 35-45yrs

* Possess the required Basic and Advanced mandatories
* Possess Marine Engineer Officer Certificate of Competency (preferably OOW Unlimited) 3000kw
* Possess a valid international passport
* Possess a valid discharge book showing a minimum of 5-8 years seatime experience in the marine industry
* Possess a valid yellow card
* Possess a valid medical certificate
* Must be registered as a seafarer with NIMASA
* Possess of relevant additional qualification will be an added advantage
