(iv) Senior Lecturer (French Literature)
A candidate for this post must possess a good first degree and a doctorate degree in French Literature from a recognized University with at least five (5) years of teaching and research experience in a University or comparable institution of higher learning. Candidate must possess evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals.

2. FACULTY OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

A candidate for this post must possess a good first degree and Ph.D. degree in Accounting with not less than ten (10) years of teaching and research experience in a University or comparable institution. A strong proof of continuing research with appreciable evidence of scholarly publications in reputable Journals in the field of Accounting is required in addition to evidence of ability to supervise post-graduates (including) Ph.D. candidates in areas of expertise. Administrative experience and demonstrable ability and maturity to provide academic leadership will be essential. Membership of a recognised Professional Accounting body will be an added advantage.
(ii) Associate Professor
A candidate for this post must possess a good first degree and a Ph.D. degree in Accounting from a recognized University with not less than eight (8) years of teaching and research experience in a University or comparable institution of higher learning. Candidates must have the ability to initiate and develop courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and supervise research programmes at the postgraduate level. Sufficient administrative experience and ability to provide both academic and administrative leadership is required. Candidates must also possess evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals. Membership of a recognised professional accounting body will be an added advantage.
(iii) Senior Lecturer
A candidate for this post must possess a good first degree and Ph.D. degree in Accounting from a recognized University, with at least five (5) years of teaching and research experience in a University or comparable institution of higher learning. Candidate must have the ability to initiate research work with evidence of extensive practical skills and competence. Candidate must also possess evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals. Membership of a recognized professional Accounting body will be an advantage.
(iv) Lecturer I
A candidate for this post must possess a good first degree and a Ph.D. degree in Accounting from a recognized University with at least four (4) years of teaching and research experience in a University or equivalent institution. Candidates must also have some publications in reputable journals and the ability to teach courses at the undergraduate level with evidence of practical skills and competence. Membership of a recognized professional accounting body will be an advantage.
(v) Lecturer II
A candidate for this post must possess a good first degree and Ph.D. degree in Accounting from a recognized University. He/she must also have the ability to teach courses at the undergraduate level with evidence of practical skills and competence. Evidence of publication in reputable learned journals will be an advantage. Membership of a recognized Professional accounting body will also be an advantage.
(vi) Assistant Lecturer
A candidate for this post must possess a good first degree and master degree in Accounting from a recognized University. Candidate must also have registered for the Ph.D. programme. Membership of a recognized Professional Accounting body will be an advantage.

Insurance Unit
(i) Professor
A candidate for this post must possess a good first degree and a doctorate degree in Insurance or Risk Management from a recognized University with at least ten (10) years of teaching and research experience in a University or comparable institution of higher learning. Considerable number of high quality scholarly and refereed journal articles published both locally and internationally by reputable publishers is required. Sufficient administrative experience and ability to provide both academic and administrative leadership is also required. (v) Lecturer II
A candidate for this post must possess a good first degree in insurance and a doctorate degree in insurance, Risk Management or related areas from a recognized University. Evidence of scholarly publications in the field of Insurance or Risk Management will be an added advantage.
(vi) Assistant Lecturer

A candidate for this post must possess a good first degree and a doctorate degree in Business Administration or in relevant disciplines but cognate with management from a recognized university with not less than eight (8) years of teaching and research experience in a university or comparable institution of higher learning. Candidates must have the ability to initiate and develop courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and also supervise research programmes at the postgraduate level. Ability to provide both academic and administrative leadership is required. (iii) Senior Lecturer
A candidate for this post must possess a good first degree and a doctorate degree in Business Administration from a recognized University with not less than five (5) years of teaching and research experience in a University or comparable institution of higher learning. Candidate must have the ability to initiate research work with evidence of extensive practical skills and competence. Candidate must also possess evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals.
(iv) Lecturer I
A candidate for this post must possess a good first degree and a Ph.D. degree in Business Administration from a recognized University with at least four (4) years of teaching and research experience in a University or equivalent institution. Candidates must also have some publications in reputable journals and the ability to teach courses at the undergraduate level with evidence of practical skills and competence.
(v) Lecturer II
A candidate for this post must possess a good first degree and a doctorate degree in Business Administration from a recognized University. Candidates must also have the ability to teach courses at the undergraduate level with evidence of practical skills and competence. Some scholarly publication in the relevant field of Business Administration in reputable learned journals will be an added advantage.
(vi) Assistant Lecturer
A candidate for this post must possess a good B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree in Business Administration and must have registered for the Ph.D. programme.
SOME SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
i. In the Marketing area, candidates must possess good Masters and/or Ph.D. Degrees in Strategic Marketing.
ii. In the Management area, candidates must have good Masters and/or Ph.D degrees in any of these:
a. Strategic Management
b. Entrepreneurship
c. Business Ethics
In addition, experience in Management Consulting will be an advantage.
iii. In Operations Research area, experience in Consulting in Operations Research and a degree in computer science or a strong competence in computing will be an added advantage.
iv. In Organization Behaviour area, candidates must have a good Ph.D degree in Organization Behaviour or a Ph.D degree in management with specialization in Organization Behaviour. In either case, teaching experience is required.
d. Department of Finance
(i) Professor
A candidate for this post must possess a good first degree and a doctorate degree in Finance from a recognized University with not less than ten (10) years of teaching and research experience in a University or comparable institution of higher learning. Top quality publications in Local and International journals are essential. Candidates must also have sufficient administrative experience.

Evidence of several scholarly publications in learned journals is required in addition to ability to supervise Ph.D candidates in areas of expertise.

Candidates must have ability to supervise post-graduate students including Ph.D candidates in areas of expertise. Candidates must also have sufficient administrative and be ready to engage in research collaborations internationally in the areas of experience.

(i) Professor
A candidate for this post must possess a good first degree and Ph.D degree in Political Science from a recognized University with not less than ten (10) years of teaching and research experience in a university or comparable institution of higher learning and must have considerable proof of continuing research with a good record of scholarly publications in reputable journals. Ability to supervise post-graduate (including Ph.D.) candidates in the area of expertise is required. A candidate for this post must have a good first degree, Masters and doctorate degree in Library or Information Science or related field from a recognized university. Candidate must also have at least ten (10) years experience in an academic library as well as cataloguing and automation experience. A strong proof of continuing research with appreciable evidence of scholarly publications both in quality and quantum in reputable international and national journals is required. Candidate must be able to provide academic and administrative leadership.
(ii) Reader Librarian
A candidate for this post must have a good first degree, Masters and doctorate degrees in Library or Information Science or related field from a recognized university. Candidate must also have at least eight (8) years experience in an academic Library as well as cataloguing and automation experience. Recognized scholarly publications both in quality and quantum in reputable international and national journals is a requirement.
